E-mail for Pilot

I would like to start a project, that would allow Pilot users to use the
standard Mail application that is included with the Pilot software, and
to Sync it using PilotManager.  I have seen a few tools that will allow
various Syncs with memo categories (inbox and outbox), but I haven't
seen anything that will allow Syncs with the actual Mail application.

The problem is, I don't know how the mail application stores its
information.  Can anyone help me get started?
