Basically your calander data file is an old version that needs to be updated. There is a routine in the FAQ you can run to do this if you have root access, else put in a service desk request which includes the script in the text.

hello,I'm trying to sync my palm pilot to my solaris dt calendar. during setup and while synching it keeps telling me:
SyncCM can't examine the attributes for 'tjackson@hutch'
Either you do not have appropriate permissions for this
calendar or your calendar (and calendar server) needs to
be updated to the CDE standard.
Error: fail at ./PilotManager line 2242i've set this up for lots of folks in my office and have never come accross this error before. the calendar is stored on a calendar server (remote) but the calendar tool can access it just fine.
any ideas?
thanks,
