RE: Fwd: PilotManager

Hoo boy.

Well, there's an adage for these situations and it goes
something like this: "You get what you pay for".

The fact that PilotManager is where it is now is a tribute
to the serious amount of time and effort that I, Alan Harder,
and a host of other people have expended. The fact that it
works at all is because we have sweated the small stuff.
I laugh when you say "wasted 1 hour trying to make it work".
Any idea how many hours we "wasted" on this? Did you send
feedback? Alan and I made an effort to answer every single
question that people asked about PilotManager. We will help
you to get it running expending our own valuable time.

I love the emails that I (we) get which simply say "It doesn't
work". What are we, mind readers? We're going to divine what
operating system you're using, extrapolate the bug report and
then fix it blindly and mail you a patch? Work with us and
we'll work with you. This stuff doesn't write itself and we
don't have time to make it perfect. Unhappy about the
documentation? Offer to help rewrite them. Don't look at it
and say "it sucks, I want more" look at it and say "it needs
work, how can I help?"

-Bharat

P.S.	Again, I reiterate: do NOT use v1.009-BETA-4. You will
regret it. Alan, you should probably yank it from the site.
