Re: [PilotMgr] Palm & Sunray

Bob, I would agree with your comment that the Palm serial-USB interface is not
officially supported. I have tried it, and the officially supported Edgeport
device. Unfortunately, I've had problems with both.

Bottom line, it seems to work for some, but not all. The problem appears to be
related to how large are the files you are backing up, and how much traffic
there is on the server. The SunRay group is checking into the issue.

>From my problem report:
I am using an Edgeport/2 serial-USB interface device and am seeing
failure the majority of times I attempt a sync.

After having problems with erratic synchronization performance with PilotMgr and
a Palm serial-USB interface device, I purchased an Edgeport/2 serial-USB
interface device. This device is on the Sun qualified list.

Unfortunately I am still seeing the same kind of failures. Occasionally the
sync operation completes cleanly. In most cases only part of the files are
successfully backed up and synchronized.
