James,
To see what version of Solaris you are running just type
	cat /etc/release
into a terminal window.

PDASync is found under /usr/dt/bin/sdtpdasync in Solaris 7 11/99 and
beyond.

For further info on CDE's PDAsync try looking up 'pdasync' in the online
Sun documentation @ http://docs.sun.com (externally) or http://docs.eng/
(internal mirror site). For Solaris 7 11/99 info, see
http://docs.eng.sun.com:80/ab2/coll.8.40/USERSUPP/@Ab2PageView/825?DwebQuery=pdasync&oqt=pdasync&Ab2Lang=C&Ab2Enc=iso-8859-1
