[PilotMgr] Trouble with desktop sync

I have been happily sycning my ultra desktop and Palm IIIe until
lately.  Now I am getting an error message stating that a sync is
being attempted with a protected entry and the process stops.  My 
terminal registers a lot of wierd packet comments and the following 
message:
