[PilotMgr] PilotManager doesn't sync after aboted backup during sync

I set someone up here at work with Pilot Manager v1.107 so she could sync her
Palm IIIx with her Sparc Ultra5. She has had no problems using it. I believed she configured her program to install all the avaailable conduits including Backup.

This morning, she was in the midst of a hotsync and was at the backup step, when
not thinking, she pulled the Palm out of the cradle to enter an appointment.

Now her Palm won't sync. It get hung at the Retrieving User Information step.
I renmaed her preferences file, to preferences.old, then started up a new Pilot Manager session. I got the message stating that you are a new user, but still got the hanging on retrieving User Information.

Any suggestions? Since everything presumably is backed up on the Sparc, I could do a hard reset on the Palm, but want to save this tactic as a last resort.
