I have had the same problem since I upgraded to a PalmIIIxe three months ago.
I've tried everything suggested on this alias with no luck.
I've now given up and I'm happily synching my Palm IIIxe with StarOffice5.2
on my work station. SO5.2 now supports synching of calendar, address and to do
Dbs. It is also supposedly possible to synch SO5.2 with your CDE calendar
manager, but I haven't cracked that one yet.

it has never been synced or it has been reset. It then asks for the name of the
unit, and I give enter one (can you set this directly on the Palm???). It
confirms and moves on.
