I have a Palm Vx that syncs just fine with software on a PC. When I run
pilotmgr v1.107 on my Sun running Solaris 2.6, things seem to work fine in the
software until I do a hot sync. When I initiate the hot sync, pilotmgr says to
hit the hotsync button on the palm cradle... I do that and the palm and the sun
actually connect up... it retrieves user information and then starts to sync the
databases...
... but every time it does so, I get the following error:
Error: Modification of a read-only value attempted at ./PilotManager line 2663.
I get this every time I try a sync.
The palm reports: Hostsync operation complete
But after checking, nothing actually got synced up or transferred.
I've tried this with different palms owned by different users, and these palms
synced fine with software on the PCs. And still work fine. But with the Sun,
that's what I get.
What's going on, and how to correct the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks much!
