There are two of us here who have not been able to restore our address books after having to do a hard reset.
I have been struggling for some time and no longer have a meaningful "AddressDB.pdb" file. (It's empty except for some information about Palm support.)
I do have a good copy of the address book in the "SyncAB" directory as a "addr.db" file. I made a copy of the "addr.db" file, renamed it "addr.pdb", and tried to "install" it, but it caused PilotManager to blow up and do a core dump.
Is there any way my colleague and I can restore our address books? Is there some editing of the "addr.db" file that will make it work as an "AddressDB.pdb" file?
If need be, I'll re-enter my address book, but I want to certain I can restore it next time I have to do a hard reset.
Regards,
Paul Kuckein
