FYI, with the change above implemented, I set my end date back
to "+03/00/01" and it still hung (and ultimately crashed pilotmgr).
However, with the change, I was able to get up to "+12/00/00" 
instead of "+09/00/00"... I didnt try going higher because I am 
impatient.... 12 months is enough.  Thanks anyway.
