a bit of trouble with PPP NetIF.prc

I've just got my palm pilot and have successfully done a bunch
of stuff, following the directions on: http://esun.europe/Mobile_Computing_Group/Projects/Palm_AutoPilot_Package/

however, I keep getting the message sequence:
	Synchronizing using the Installer conduit
	Error installing PPP NetIF.prc
	Installed 1 applications/databases

all the others loaded just fine (Giraffe, NetSync, and so forth)

I don't even know how to look in the pilot itself to see if PPP
is already there.

any help out there?
