Sync CM Errors

When syncing my Palm V with my desktop the Calendar Managers fail to sync. and PilotManager presents the following error messages.

"SyncCM cannot interface with your calendar server
Please upgrade to the CDE calendar server"

and

" Error: fail at /home/chrisjo/pilotmgr/PilotManager line 2242
No changes
SyncCM encountered an error during operation
To avoid causing further complications, the next
calendar sync will be a full sync."

Can anybody offer any advice please?
