How do I Recover Backed up information..

It finally happened. I lost everything on my Palm III. Fortunately I backed it up a day or two before the crash. But How do I recover the information.  How do I move the backed up information to my Palm III. Any suggestions. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has had this problem.
