I ran a few tests trying various SoftTrack! options. If I selected 'produce
only new memos', I got duplicate memos generated, causing an explosion of
the Memo00xx.txt format as you described.
However, if I select 'Overwrite old memos' , I continue to see a set of 38
memos generated which, on the Palm, have unique names, but which SyncMemo
places into Memo00xx.txt file names. Unfortunately, the hotsync.log doesn't
tell me _why_ the Memo00xx.txt name was chosen - just that it was
chosen.
