I have had problems. My Palm III has undergone hard resets on my last
two battery changes. I believe I may have a hardware problem-- but I
digress.
In using the backup conduit, I found the data was not restored properly.
It would hang when trying to restore handyshopper. It may or may not be
a coincidence that this is the first application restored after
hackmaster. After deleting A* through handyshopper from the list of
items to restore, I finally did get the rest of the stuff restored. I
am still having trouble using some of my hacks, however. In particular,
runwrite crashes the Palm III whenever I try to use it now. I have
tried turning it off and then on, which didn't fix the problem. I
imagine I can get it working again by deleting it, reinstalling it, and
reentering the abbreviations, but it is this sort of thing I was hoping
to avoid by using the backup conduit.
