I wrote a mail conduit called SyncMH which is designed to work best with (Ex)MH.
However, it can download mail from mailboxes in several formats and issue arbitrary
Unix commands to deliver mail. It also supports all the Pilot filtering operations
on mail download. The code was a bit of a learning exercise for me in Pilot
synchronization, so it isn't wonderful, but I've been using it live for a while now:

The PMExtra package in there conatins SyncMH as well as some other conduits for ToDo
and Plan.
