i have PilotManager also running on Linux 2.0.36 based on slackware
3.1 (Perl 5.003). For me it also didn't run out-of-box (speak
'distribution). The fix was to separatly install the PDA-packages as
part of pilot-link and fetch from CPAN the Tk (400.202), DataDumper
(2.07), IO (1.20), File-Spec (0.7), Date-Calc (4.2) and md5 (1.7)
packages and install them.

don't expect too much: they are quite crude and just help me in
reinstalling/upgrading quickly and keeping track of potential problems
i encountered)
