Hi Volker,
no need to route the serial connection via the network. What you want is
basically the network version of HotSync. I was able to use PilotManager
with the pilot-link netsync tools plus the new netsync package for PilotIII
on my Pilot Pro.
You only have to install the netsync package from www.palm.com (I don't
have the URL right now, but it is not very complicated to locate once
you are connected to www.palm.com) on a windows machine and get the
PRC file from there.
I'm not sitting at my Linux machine, where I did the installation and
therefore can not tell you more. If you are not able to figure the
details out yourself, just drop me a message and I'll look up the
information.
