Re: alternate calendar managers for solaris 2.5.1

The problem with plan is that it requires netplan to synchronize with 
the pilot. All entries made by netplan can be read by anyone. There is 
basically no privacy. This is why I prefer Sun's calendar manager. 
I am, however, having the same problems as Steve, i.e., my administrator
would not upgrade my operating systems to Solaris 2.7. so SycnCM will not run
on my machine.
In the lab, however, we have a machine with Solaris 2.7 on it which runs the
CM daemon. Technically, I could run Pilot-Manager remotely on that machine, too,
but then, I would need to run across the lab to press the HotSynch button on 
the cradle, and would not have my pilot on my desk ...
... unless the pilot-manager software could remotely access the serial
interface of my local workstation.
Does anyone know how to do this? That is, route a serial connection over 
the network?

I like plan.  Works quite well and there's a pilot-manager conduit for 
it, although I've never tested it out.
