Solaris 2.7 problem/resolution

I installed Solaris 2.7 release 16 (s998_16) on my SPARCstation 5 last week and started getting error messages every time I tried to sync. I had release 15 (beta refresh) on my machine before and had no trouble at all. I tried reconfiguring the port but it made no difference. I moved the cable to port b and now it works fine.

The errors were:
