Replacement for Palm Desktop

I realize this is probably not the right mailing list, but I don't know
where else to ask.

I am in the UK for the next 2 months and I brought my Pilot Pro and
cradle.  Unfortunately, I didn't bring along the CD with the desktop
software.  I can't go 2 months without synching, but I'm not quite ready
to download 9+MB of desktop software from 3com over a 14400 dial-up link.
Is there a more compact solution?  I am unfortunately, using a
Win95/WinNT4 machine, otherwise I would use the pilot-link tools.

Can anyone suggest a better mailing list for this query?
