You need to get online with Circuit Cellar magazine. One of the contributers
lives for little projects like this and could probably direct you to a better
(more modern) speach IC. Radio Shack (spit) had some things along this line
a while back.
In all, this is an outstanding idea - be sure to make the box such that it
can be velcro'd to a steering wheel.
