RE: Error Message



I seem to recall one really annoying situation in which this
could happen. 

If you delete every instance of a recurring appointment on
the Pilot, then you have a series that exists, but is never
displayed anywhere.  However, when you sync this to CDE, it
notices that there are not any instances of the series and 
it decides that your rule is invalid.  Annoyingly enough, 
it doesn't tell you WHY it thinks the rule is invalid
so it's really hard to tell this apart from a rule that 
SyncCM doesn't support.  I suppose we could hack something to
figure this out, but I never got around to it.

I filed this as a bug with Palm way back when but I don't 
think they took it very seriously, since it doesn't affect
anything but SyncCM.

Does this appointment actually appear on your Pilot?  If not,
you can try Kent's advice which is to get your Pilot and desktop
totally in sync then have your desktop overwrite the Pilot,
which should get rid of the problem.
