Sync disaster

Today I deleted one appt. from calendar manager and added another one.
Sync'd with my pilot, and the software decided that all records were
duplicates and deleted everything both from my pilot and CDE calendar
manager, EXCEPT the new appt. which I just added, appeared in both.
Anyone seen this before or have any idea why it might have happened??

I have already restored from backups, so did not lose anything, but
it certainly had me going for a while!

Have been using the pilot with Pilotmanager 1.10 since Oct and this is
the first glitch of any kind that I have seen. Generally this is a
great tool.
