perl 5.003 + Linux?

I now have my one-day-old Pilot and I'm poking around trying
to install PilotMgr so I can back things up.

Immediate problem is that I have Perl 5.004_01 installed in
compatibility mode and I can't seem to find a set of binaries
for Linux+5.003 - on the download page there's both sorts for
Solaris, but only 5.004 for Linux.

I'd upgrade my Perl but I really REALLY hate doing that ...
