Also - for Solaris users (+ other Unix's ?) - "man logindevperm"
It allows you to specify which devices will be owned by the
user logged into the console. My entry for the serial port
connected to the pilot is:
/dev/ttya 0600 /dev/ttya # Connection to Pilot
So, when I (dougr) am logged in, a ls -lL if /dev/ttya:
crw------- 1 dougr tty 29, 0 Oct 27 12:53 /dev/ttya
