Hi All,
A quick status update...
I forgot to mention that my primary SunRay 1 desktop unit in a
multi-head configuration died. After replacing the bad DTU, I had to
change the USB port reference for both the USB-based Palm cradle but
also for the local USB-based printer. I fixed the USB-based Palm
cradle reference since that declaration is in my home directory.
However, I did not have permission to change the printer since that's
under root control. Once the Sys Admin changed my local printer
reference, pilot-mgr began working again. Why the two seem
interconnected somehow escapes me. Since the Sys Admin knows nothing
about hot-syncing with pilot-mgr, he wouldn't hazzard a guess.
regards...Carl

| Hi,
|
| I started getting the following message when trying to initiate
| a hot sync operation where I clicked on the tool's hot sync button
| but had not yet done so for my PalmV. Are there any recommendations
| on where the source of the problem might be. Please note that the
| last time I tried to do a hot sync (this past Monday), I did not
| see this error message.
|
| thanks in advance!!...Carl
