Does anyone know why the id field of each record is available (that is
to say, part of the hash) in the TranslateHook but has vanished by the
time the WriteHook is called?
The pimlicosoftware DateBk4 application stores links from datebook
records to addressbook records by way of the Palm uniqueid. It would
be sort of cool to be able to preserve that link in other
representations...

P.S. If anyone's curious, I've updated my SyncXmlDB conduit to decode
the special DateBk4 note line so that you can have icons, categories,
colors, etc. in your XML. I'll probably post an update on the Sun
public site in a week or two.
