Re: [PilotMgr] Avantgo

I installed AvantGo onto my V, but was not impressed. AvantGo has
a noticable pause while parsing the document to be displayed. I
also objected to having advertisments on my pilot and the size of
  AvantGo (~350k plus data).

An alternative does exist however - Plucker is a GNU program to
suck web pages down to the pilot. The advantage with Plucker is
that much of the rendering is done before the pages are dumped
  to the pilot.

I have a couple of cron jobs running nightly and weekly to pull
down some newspapers and reference material. These save the
.pdb's into ~/.pilotmgr/Installer so the data is installed
  automatically when I next sync.

The Plucker homepage is at http://plucker.gnu-designs.com
