Funny, I just encountered a very similar problem last week.  It turned out the 
SyncMemo database on my desktop had somehow gotten corrupted.  So I told the 
SyncMemo conduit to "overwrite files" (which is apparently a one-time setting), 
and the problem stopped.

In my case, the backtrace was more helpful, in that I could see that the 
"AppointmentRecord" is was choking on was in fact one of my memos.  Also, in my 
case (as yours), the backtrace seemed to implicate SyncCM, which was in fact not 
the culprit (unless SyncCM also looks at your desktop memo database for some 
reason).
