As some of you may recall we also had a problem of this nature with
some Palm Vx's recently. The Perl upgrade and PC synching work-arounds
solved the problem on all but one of these devices.

Another work-around we've discovered that solved the problem with the
outstanding Palm was to use the Install conduit to load a new app -
after which the synch process ran just fine.......

WEIRD.... but who cares when the end result is that it works......
