I can't believe that this is the case, since except for one time
I had *never* allowed my pilot to LOOK at a pc unless it was running *nix. :-).  
I did use pilot-link directly before using pilot manager, for file-xfers and 
backups, etc.

I did sync with a Windows PC once - Oh the shame! :-) :-)  I've upgraded to a 
newer pilot (3X), and haven't needed to since, either.

BTW - has anyone else there use VNC for the Pilot?
