[PilotMgr] SyncPlan <-> netplan freezes

Hello,

..this is the second time I had a strange problem with SyncPlan v0.96
BETA (ea) and netplan 2.0 on a Linux 2.2.13 (SuSE-based) machine:

While talking to netplan, SyncPlan freezes irrecoverably. Netplan is
known to hang sometimes, but that was not the problem, as the very
same instance of netplan happily served other plan clients while
constantly locking up SyncPlan.

I tried to find out why but was, however, stupid enough to restart
netplan before I captured all details -- especially I didn't
tcpdump the communication between SyncPlan and netplan.

So all I have is a stack trace from the perl debugger:

  DB<2> Caught a SIGTERM at /usr/local/pilotmgr/SyncPlan.pm line 1306
$ = SyncPlan::ReadPlanReply('IO::Socket::INET=GLOB(0x8cc1238)') called from file `/usr/local/pilotmgr/SyncPlan.pm' line 1367
$ = SyncPlan::SyncDB('PDA::Pilot::DLP::DBPtr=SCALAR(0x8693b00)', '\'PDA::Pilot::DLP::DBPtr=SCALAR(0x8693b00)\'') called from file `/usr/local/pilotmgr/SyncPlan.pm' line 1586
$ = SyncPlan::conduitSync('SyncPlan', 'PDA::Pilot::DLPPtr=SCALAR(0x8bf46b4)', 'HASH(0x8c3a96c)') called from file `/usr/local/pilotmgr/PilotManager' line 2290

Anyone else seen this? From the circumstances I would wildly guess
that the implementation of the netplan protocol in SyncPlan is not
perfect.

Kind regards,
--Andreas
