[PilotMgr] Warning! Perl 5.5.640 really messes with PilotManager!

The latest version of perl has a basic problem with the statement:

# perl -e eval{require 5.003};
Missing right curly or square bracket at -e line 1, at end of line
syntax error at -e line 1, at EOF
Execution of -e aborted due to compilation errors.

Resulting in the classes for PilotManager not being able to be installed...
