[PilotMgr] The Pilot ate its batteries...



Night before last I got one of those SyncToDo crashes I have been
reporting.  When it crashes, it leaves the Palm thinking that a sync
is still ongoing.  I was just about to walk out the door, so I just
took the Palm out of the cradle, turned it off and went on to my mtg.
I didn't get around to turning on the palm again until the next morning.
When I did, I was quite surprised to see that the brand new batteries were
now registering as empty.

Does the palm somehow suck up juice even when turned off if it thinks it
is plugged into the cradle?
