Desktop Calendar clears after syncing

My dtcm calendar get cleared of all "timed" appointments after several hours. I am running Solaris 7, the latest version of PilotManager and SyncCM v1.102, Palm OS v3.0.2.

1) Start by having the service desk delete and re-create the calendar file.
2) rm ~/.pilotmgr/SyncCM/pilot-cm.db
3) sync palmIII with the following PilotManager SyncCM settings turned on: Remove Duplicates and Pilot overwrites Desktop. It doesn't matter if dtcm is running on my desktop during the sync or not as I've tested it both ways.

All syncs well with appointments going to dtcm fine.

IMPORTANT:
4) Close dtcm and wait several hours (at least 2 hours and less than 4). As long as the dtcm remains running all appears fine. As soon as you close it and leave it closed for a few hours, things disappear.

Upon reopening dtcm, all appointments that had times attached are gone. All "events" (no times associated) are still there.

I really don't know how to recover from this. It is VERY repeatable, as I have done this cycle several times. It almost looks like a server process is periodically cleaning out calendars. As I have no control over the server processes (I am schoon@sobek), I cannot eliminate that possibility.

Any help would be appreciated. I am new to Sun (3wks) and without my PalmIII sync'd to my desktop, I'm lost.

thx,
kms :-(
