Installer and auto update of .prc databases

I want to automate the update of .prc databases when I do a HotSync,
but cannot figure out how.
The Installer let you define a database to move over at the next sync,
but then it disappears from the list. I want to be able to let cron cp
a new version of a database-file to some dir and then at the next 
HotSync the new version is automatically pushed to my Palm.
The SyncMemo has this function for memos/textfiles, but how about .prc
files?

Any suggestions?
