i'm using a little tool called "undupe" to remove duplicate entries from my

Don't necessarily blame the pilot. Make sure these duplicate entries are not
due to the calendar server's caching of appointments. At least under
Sparc/Solaris/CDE, the rpc.cmsd daemon will cache calendar entries. So, even
if
you completely replace your calendar file, some of your old appointments might
persist. It's happened to me. You either need to signal the calendar server
daemon, or (under Sparc/Solaris/CDE) you can use the sdtcm_convert command,
which has the side-effect of flushing your cached appointments.
