Pilotmgr upgrade question

I've been running a older version of pilotmgr for a while. I am wondering
what I need to do to upgrade to the latest version. Do I just get new
conduits and copy them into my existing pilotmgr directory? Do I 'uninstall'
(and I assume lose) my old $HOME/.pilotmgr directory?

Any tips?
