bug in timezone???

I have never been able to HOTSync my Palm III with my Calendar Manager,
but recently I was moved to a new server for the calendar. So I thought
I would try it again. This time I get an error message immediately
that says I have a bad time zone indicated in my OS and that I need
to change it to something more precise like PST8PDT and then fix my
time. Now it says I show US/Pacific and it doesn't like that. It says
this is not a bug in PilotMananger.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,
Cheryl
