Cant configure Pilotmanager on Redhat 5.2

Hi Guys 

I know perl is broken in 5.2, but what about perl rpm from the 5.1 CD .
I am unable to configure Pilotmanager on my Laptop running 
Redhat 5.2 with release 2.0.36

Does anyone know why ?

Any pointers will be appreciated
