Funny thing.  

I have about the same set-up.  Sol 2.6 , Ultra 1, CDE.  I loaded the
basic package then added sun4, perl5.003, Small package.  Everything
installed OK. When I ran it, I  got a serial port access/permissions
errors


I have to set the security stuff, CHMOD, CHOWN etc....  

I run as ROOT and and the systems always starts to SYNC just fine.

I always get go various levels of partial completion, Identifying User,
Syncing CM to various levels of compeltion, and it always freezes at some
point.  I have to KILL the process every time.


I have replaced the cradle and adaptor with another that is know to
work properly..... same problem.

Suggestions?
