Need Help hotsyncing to my WS

Anybody,

I was messing around yesterday moving conduits into and out
of my pilot manager directory - and now can't hotsync to
my workstation.

What happens:

I click on the hotsync icon and it comes up as usual with
"please press hotsync button on your pilot, etc.

I press my hotsync button on the pilot and I get the beep
and everything seems to start working.

Up pops the conduit status window with the message -
retrieving user info - but nothing happens after that.

Everything times out after about 30 seconds and I get a
message on the pilot that the connection has been lost -
some of the data was not backed up, etc.

At that point I can't even kill the Pilot Manager program.

Any suggestions from the experts out there would be appreciated.
