This is a must read, although the article claims MS wasn't trying to
buy out a compeditor it sure looks like it, as they aren't managing
to get the market acceptance of the PalmPilot with Windows CE.
No, MS is denying that they'd use Palm instead of WinCE if they'd been
successful. It looks exactly like they were trying to buy out a
competitor. Very glad to see 3Com turned them down.
I never thought I'd ever see a reason why I'd want to try out the
PalmPilot port of Linux. MS shutting down Palm would have done it.
