Hi,
I don't know if someone has experimented this before: PilotManager seems to
stop doing whatever it's doing (during a sync) when it is unmapped. This seems
to cause the "identifying user" phase (while PilotManager is updating the list
of databases) to stop indefinitely unless PilotManager is onscreen. And
sometimes, when Backup is running, it will timeout and the sync on the Pilot
will abort, but the sync on PilotManager will continue after PilotManager is
mapped again. Weird.
More specifically, I am experiencing this when using PilotManager with KDE. If
I start a sync and then switch to a different desktop, I get the above
behavior. I have the impression that kwm (KDE's window manager) unmaps
applications that are on different desktops (instead of positioning them in
offscreen coordinates as other window managers do).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
--Diego
