migration to Palm III from PalmPilot Professional

I have been using PalmPilot Professional and have been using version pilotmgr v1.101 sw.
I have now purchased a Palm III and need to sync in my backup data from
my Sun WS to the new
Palm III:

1. Does Palm III require use of a new version of Pilotmanager sw?
2. Any problems in getting in the old backup I did from the prof. pro?
3. What is currently the recommended version to use on my Sun WS?
