After looking back at the beginning of this email thread more, I see I
misunderstood the point.
I apologize.
In 'consolation' I hope I don't offend anyone by noticing that when I
run Netscape, xv, periguine's problem management tool, and a number of
other tools, I am seeing the same behavior - when the application is
running in workspace 1 and I move off into workspace 2, I typically
see the new window show up in workspace 2. The place in netscape I see
this is when I go do to an ftp download, and the site is very slow.
I move off into another workspace and the progress gauge shows up
in my new workspace.
I don't know if this is a problem in my resources or if it's a cde 'feature'.
I will investigate further.
