I beg to differ. It has everything to do with Tk. Tcl
is irrelevant in any regard, as it is just a control language
for Tk. PilotManager is written in Perl/Tk using the actual
Tk libraries that you'd get with Tcl/Tk. I'm not going to
start a religious war by telling you my opinions about Tcl :-)
The problem Adam is seeing with CDE stems directly from Tk
behaviour. Most likely I created the Tk status window with
the wrong modes so it's not getting locked down properly.
I never noticed this in testing since I (used to) use olvwm
on my desktop. I guess we could send Ousterhout some email
and see what he thinks :-)
Are there any CDE/Tk gurus out there who want to look through
the code and take a guess what the correct settings should be
for the status subwindow?
