To anyone willing to help:
I just succesfully installed PilotManager. It seems pretty spiffy
but I have some odd and annoying behavior.
Odd behavior number 1:
When I delete an appointment from the palm pilot, then configure
SyncCM to "Pilot overwrites Desktop" and do the sync, the appointment
is not deleted from the Desktop calendar manager.
Odd behavior number 2:
I delete an appointment from both the Desktop calendar manager and
the palm pilot manually. I then configure SyncCM to "Desktop
overwrites Pilot" and perform the sync. The deleted appointment
then reappears in the Pilot.
Odd behavior number 3:
I've noticed that smart feature of SyncCM, where it only updates the new
appointments, doesn't appear to work in my environment. I always put my
appointments in my palm pilot and then have the Pilot overwrite Desktop.
If I watch the desktop calendar manager GUI during the sync operation,
all the appointments in the desktop calendar get completely deleted
and then they are all put back along with the new appointment. The
PilotManager GUI reports that it created a large number of records on
the desktop even though only one new record was added to the palm pilot
prior to sync.
Any ideas on what's going on? Is there something funny about my
environment? Are the three problems related?
Thanks in advance,
Pete Sullivan
